YAMAGAWA is a stunning new collection of vocal samples designed to inspire your music productions.

 

The name YAMAGAWA is derived from two Japanese kanji words: Dreams in Japanese is "夢", pronounced as "yume" and "gawa" (川), which means "river". Together, they symbolize the visions and images that occur in one's mind during sleep, and YAMAGAWA delivers this with its vocal sounds that you can use for dreamy pads, soundscapes or even spooky soundscapes!

 

This sample pack features 294 high-quality vocal samples in 16 presets that have been meticulously compiled in Native Instruments Kontakt 7, providing a seamless and user-friendly experience for producers of all skill levels.

Each sample has been carefully crafted to deliver a unique and versatile range of sounds, from airy and delicate to bold and powerful. The samples are perfect for a wide variety of genres, including ambient, pop, electronic, lo-fi, orchestral, horror and much more!

All included samples have been created with the utmost attention to detail, ensuring that every aspect of this pack is of the highest quality, with each sample being recorded through a Shure SM7B, processed with in the box preamps and optical compressors, and published into 24bit / 44.1kHz WAV files. All supplied samples are dry except for a select few from the 'Yahsee' patch, which is a bespoke collection of sounds taken from the vocalists own collection of music.

Installation Instructions:

  • Unzip the 'Yamagawa Kontakt.ZIP' file

  • Place the folder into your preferred location on your computer

  • Open Native Instruments Kontakt 7 (standalone or in your DAW)

  • Select 'Load/Save' represented by a floppy disc icon in the menu bar located at the top of the Kontakt window

  • Select 'Load'

  • Navigate to where you saved the Yamagawa Kontakt folder, and open the 'Yamagawa.nkm' file

  • YAMAGAWA should then display in Kontakt.

Installation Troubleshooting:

In some cases, Kontakt is unable to find the source files and may display a 'Content Missing' dialogue window:

  • Ensure the 'Resolve All Possible' and 'Allow Alternative File Types' boxes are selected

  • Select the 'Search Spotlight' button
     

Kontakt will then search for the missing files.​
