If you’re waiting for someone else to give you permission to create, you’re already asking the wrong person.

Stop worrying about what people think.

Make the music you want to hear.

Make it because it excites you.

Make it because it’s fun.

Make it for yourself first.

Everything else is just a bonus and if you genuinely love the process, everything else like success and recognition will fall into place naturally. Not because you forced it.

Never let people whose brains are still figuring themselves out decide what you should or shouldn’t create. The only permission you need is your own.

One day you’ll be 50, wishing you were 30 again, wondering why you spent so much time worrying about other people’s opinions instead of making the music that was inside you all along.
