Spring Cleaning My Life

It would be boring
to be the same person
with some, this is how things, they be
You never adjusted,
observing from others,
standing still with a smirk or is it glee?
You’ve escaped a close call
with the Grim Reaper for now,
yet no one escapes in the end.
Viewing the world as your oyster,
Enjoy! (But not o’ your shoulder)
You’re leaving a bloodied trail behind.
This glamor, this glitz!
Look again, or youll miss,
that time when authenticity did shine.
But thats dead, long forgotten,
and we all know you’re rotten,
when the glint in your eye said goodbye.
What life would it be,
if everything was carefree,
harm ye none, lest you get off my side.
But that side contained peace
and now, who could resist?
With you gone, calmness abides.
So go, off you go,
you’ve got mediocrity to show
But don’t think your next reset is free
While you’re the same person,
its clear I am not, thank God!
The joys of spring cleaning my life.
